2019 THEMES
The planet and its inhabitants; feminism, diversity, and integration; the concerns of our elders; the environment of Navarra... the themes of NIFF - Navarra International Film Festival revolve around social reality and values education.

It is essential to talk about the environment and the state of the planet.

Eliminate fears and make this situation beneficial for everyone.

Provide space for feminist cinema that serves to raise awareness and denounce.

The Festival is committed to visibility.

Because we are diverse and we function in different ways.

Our elders are protagonists in the festival.
PLANET
It's essential to talk about the environment and the current situation of the planet. There's still a long way to go to raise awareness so that we realize that our actions are destroying the Earth's beautiful nature.
We'll talk about the importance of recycling; the ocean and plastics; organic food; the technology industry and its effects on the Earth and our health...

Syria, the Mediterranean, the Sahara, and Mexico; Analysis of the causes of migration: wars and hunger; What is life like for refugees in Spain?; A new shift in politics toward the radical right…
These are all issues that concern us today, and fear is very present in each of the questions we are asked. We want to eliminate these fears and make these situations beneficial for everyone. Raise awareness about the positive aspects of migration and intercultural exchange.
MIGRATIONS
We believe it's essential to provide a space for cinema about equality that serves to raise awareness and denounce violence. Key concepts in this area include abuse, women's empowerment, trafficking and prostitution, socially accepted inequality, abortion, women in film, the glass ceiling, and more.
FEMINISMS

LGTBI+
It's necessary to highlight a group that has been stigmatized for years. The fight for acceptance and the achievement of LGBTI+ rights is one of our themes.
The Festival is committed to raising awareness: transgender issues; homophobia, how to eradicate it; gender identity, etc.

DISABILITY
What is normal and what is not normal? There is nothing more subjective and artificial than establishing limitations between one term and another. Because we are diverse and function differently, but society has not yet fully accepted this.
We want to convey a message of equality, acceptance, and coexistence.

SENIORS
Our elders are often "forgotten" by society, which is why we want to give them a spotlight in our festival. We want to offer them a space where we can share our time and love with all their stories.
We have some of them as volunteers who contribute their experience to this adventure.
