(2021) 5' NO DIALOGUE - SPAIN

In a cuckoo clock, when the hour hand strikes twelve, the two wooden figures of two lovers can meet and dance for a few seconds. However, the lover thinks it's not enough and tries to change his destiny so he can spend more time with his beloved. But playing with time is a decision that will have consequences.

He has worked as a photojournalist for the Balearic newspaper "Última Hora", camera operator on the documentary series "Ockham's Razor" broadcast on RTVE's Channel 2, and is currently working as a scriptwriter for the animation production company Birdland Animation. His work includes "KM. 0", a documentary short film that was selected for several film festivals in Spain, Portugal, and Colombia, among others; "Trasluz", also a documentary short film that won the Kino Awards from the University of Navarra; and his latest audiovisual project, "Time Lover".

Alicia Moncholí

(2021) 8' SPANISH - SPAIN

"I Don't Want Anymore" speaks to the harshness of letting go of our loved ones. The short film is a portrait of the director's family in a nursing home room. Through the anecdote of a cake, the story tells the family's refusal to accept that Alicia, the oldest of them all, no longer wants to fight for life and therefore wants to stop eating.

Alicia Moncholí

​Asturian, she is a final-year student of the Bachelor's Degree in Film and Audiovisuals of Catalonia (ESCAC). She has participated in other events as an interviewer through the Conseyu de Mocedá de Xixón, selected for the Festival de Navarra in the Quarantine section, the Enfocats Festival, and as a speaker at the 7th Talkoofilms Meeting in Barcelona.

At 16, he founded his own theater company called Onceo Company. Since then, he has written and directed three plays, four short films, and will soon make his first feature film, Ademán. This year, he also published his first book. The most important thing for him is that his works make people feel identified with them.

On his eighth birthday, Teo expresses aloud his wish to go to the moon. As time passes, twenty years later, he sees that his wish has not come true. However, there are many ways to get to the moon.

Alberto Baldini Salorio completed his undergraduate studies at the Rey Juan Carlos University, where he earned a double degree in Business Administration and Management and Advertising and Public Relations.

 

Juan Utrilla holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Seville, his hometown. Juan combines his work as a first assistant director on various productions with developing his own projects.

Gonzalo, antisocial and lazy, is forced by his mother to go play in the park with other children. However, he is interested in finding someone who will lend him a television to watch his favorite wrestling show. After a series of failed attempts, Gonzalo meets a new friend, whom he convinces to watch the fight together with the promise of going out to play afterward.

This free audiovisual adaptation of Luis Cernuda's poem of the same name, included in his book "Los placeres prohibidos" (Forbidden Pleasures) (1931), tells the story of heartbreak. The protagonist of this story, and narrator of the poem, feels and remembers her impossible love as she commits suicide in her bathtub. A brief journey through the loneliness and desires of a desperate young woman who turns to death as a last option to express her suffering love.

Noelia Muiño

Film Director

Director, screenwriter, and producer of the short films "The Widow" and "Silent Hour," and director of photography for "Safe Among Stars," all of which have won awards at festivals. Noelia completed a Master's in Film Directing at New York University with a scholarship from La Caixa and is also an editor for the New York Times. She is currently directing a television series for Zenit TV.

"Kutxi, de Berriozar" is a 15-part portrait that explores the special bond Kutxi Romero maintains with his hometown and his closest circle. Through shared experiences, they describe the artist's personality: from his flamenco roots to his founding role in the band Marea.

He has combined projects such as the short documentary 948243040 (dedicated to Tel. De la Esperanza de Navarra) with some external forays into TV scriptwriting for TVE and assistance in direction and original scriptwriting for the documentary SANdEDRO (dir. Iñaki Arbilla), which also explores the bond between a town and its fluctuating inhabitants throughout its history.
