After the coup d'état, Franco's regime took advantage of the victory to cruelly and savagely punish the Republican population. More than 250,000 Spaniards were imprisoned in concentration camps and prisons. The repression against women was even harsher, with rape, humiliating treatment, and hair shaving. Many of these women wrote letters to their families or friends before their deaths or during their imprisonment.

Amparo Climent
Film Director
Amparo Climent is a Valencian actress and multidisciplinary artist who has developed an intense creative career. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Film Academy and a member of CIMA (Association of Women in Film).
She has written and directed the short films Memories in the Garden and DNA, and the feature-length documentaries Tears of Africa and Dreams of Idomeni, about the refugee crisis in Europe.

Siblings Amaia and Aitor are approaching fifty, have no children, and have lived far from their retired parents, Kontxi and Iñaki, since they were very young. One summer, they realize a dream: the four of them get together to travel on a cruise ship called FANTASY.

Aitor Merino
Film Director
Aitor Merino has developed his career primarily as an actor in film, theater, and television.
His first short film as a director, EL PAN NUESTRO (Our Bread), won awards at numerous national and international festivals and was nominated for the Goya Awards. His feature-length documentary ASIER ETA BIOK (ASIER AND I), co-directed with his sister Amaia Merino, was awarded, among others, the Irizar Prize at the San Sebastian Film Festival. He currently combines his work as an actor in various productions with his second feature-length documentary as a director, FANTASÍA (FANTASY).

Victoria Morell
Film Director
Director, screenwriter, and producer of audiovisual content. Her notable work includes directing the documentary series "La Paca. The Matriarch of Drugs," "Baltasar Samper. The Amnesic Rhythm," and several documentaries on feminist themes. She has worked as a production manager on more than a dozen documentaries for TV3 and RTV3. She is the representative of the Association of Women Filmmakers and Audiovisual Media (CIMA) in the Balearic Islands.

A 70-year-old film director senses that his sly death is approaching. He wants to poke fun at life in what will be his final film. To do so, he'll enlist the help of a quixotic 109-year-old woman with an immense desire to die. And three young artists: a musician, a painter, and an actress.

Born in Cuba and living in Spain for twenty years, Rolando Díaz has written and directed more than twenty documentaries and eight feature films, including "Melodrama," selected by the Berlinale Forum, and "Los pájaros tirando a la escopeta," which won an award at the Cartagena International Film Festival (Colombia). His feature-length documentary "Si me comprendieras" was also selected for the Forum section of the Berlin Film Festival, the Toronto Film Festival, and the Havana Film Festival. He was nominated for a Goya Award for "El largo viaje de Rústico."

A journey into the past that seeks to highlight the place deserved by hundreds of women from the valleys of Salazar, Roncal, and Echo, who crossed the Pyrenees on foot to reach Mauleón (Zuberoa). They traveled to work in the area's espadrille factories, and continued to do so for almost a century. Hundreds of women, including girls, left their families and villages at the age of 12 to earn a few francs working up to sixteen hours a day.

Juan San Martín

With over 25 years of experience in audiovisual production, Juan San Martín is the founder of 601 Producciones, where he works on directing and production projects. Initially trained as a photographer and later as a producer, San Martín began his professional career in the fields of photography and advertising film.

Marie-Julie Dallaire has been working as a director in film, television, and advertising for nearly 30 years.
In 2019, she co-wrote and directed Big Giant Wave, an art documentary about the vital importance of music, with Jean-Marc Vallée (Crazyrose) as executive producer.

Film Directors
Yolanda Román is a Spanish film director, screenwriter, editor, and actress. After completing her studies in Telecommunications Engineering (specializing in Sound and Image), she began her acting studies at the Cristina Rota School of Dramatic Arts, combining them with courses and seminars at several schools in Madrid.
Manu Ochoa is a Spanish film director, screenwriter, actor, and writer.
After writing several fiction novels (El planeta de la luna hoom, El pirata quieto, Mariposas de colores, etc.), he entered the world of film as an actor, studying acting at the Cristina Rota School of Dramatic Arts.
