EL TALLER DE LOLA

The screenwriting experience with Lola Mayo.

On September 4th and 5th, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Palacio del Condestable in Pamplona, ​​Lola's Workshop: The Screenwriting Experience with Lola Mayo will take place. In this screenwriting workshop, Lola Mayo will guide twenty people through the writing of their short film scripts. Experience and age don't matter, just the story you have in mind. Each script will be based on a short synopsis (300 words) that must be attached to the registration form. Lola Mayo will provide the tools and knowledge necessary to transform these stories into ten- to fifteen-page fiction scripts. This workshop will cover how to structure a short film, basic screenwriting tricks, and dialogue, among other topics. To register and participate in the selection process, fill out the form in the Screenwriting Workshop section of our website and send it to info@navarrafestival.com.

  • Experience: Career will be considered (letter of interest will be considered).

  • Number of pages and genre: 10-15 minutes. Festival themes will be considered.

  • Time: Friday, September 4 and Saturday, September 5, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Palacio de Condestable.

  • Number of hours: 8 hours

  • Price: €30

  • Idea: Short film synopsis. 300 words.

  • Letter of interest: 200 words.

LOLA MAYO

Screenwriter, producer and film teacher.

Badajoz, 1970

Screenwriter, producer, and film professor. She has won the Queen Sofía Journalism Award. She teaches at the Carlos III University of Madrid, the ECAM (National Institute of Film Studies), the Madrid Film Institute, the Lusófona University of Lisbon, and Hamilton College in the United States.

 

She directs the Feminist Documentary Creation Lab at the Francesca Bonnemaison Center in Barcelona. She is a programmer for the DocumentaMadrid and Alcine festivals. For three years, she coordinated the Documentary Film Chair at the San Antonio de los Baños Film School in Cuba.

 

Her production company, Lolita Films, has been dedicated to the creation of arthouse films for over 20 years. She currently teaches in the Cine en Curso program, which teaches film in public schools.
